Rezerwat Archeologiczny Zawodzie

This hilltop in Zawodzie was once an early medieval stronghold, and today you can walk among its partly reconstructed defences, with a rampart reaching about 5 metres in places. Excavated remains are displayed on the spot, including a palatium, the collegiate church of St Paul, its cemetery and an earlier timber-and-clay church. It is archaeology seen right where it was dug, on a site researched since 1903.
