Reiterhaus

Neusalza-Spremberg, Sachsen

A colourful wooden rider on the gable of the west wing gives this house on the B 96 its name. The local history museum occupies a half-timbered Upper Lusatian Umgebinde house, built as a smallholder's farmhouse before 1660 and extended with a new wing before 1800. It counts among the region's oldest houses of this type, so the building itself is worth the visit.
