Poštovní muzeum

Close to two thousand square metres of the Vyšší Brod monastery are given over to the story of the post in Czech lands and Czechoslovakia. You will find old postal uniforms, shop signs, letterboxes, cash desks, telegraph, telex and telephone equipment, and franking machines. There are also reconstructed post office interiors and a collection of mail coaches, carriages and sleighs. It all sits in late Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque rooms, so the visit doubles as a walk through the monastery. It is a branch of the Postal Museum in Prague.
