Open-airPoland

Park Etnograficzny w Tokarni

Tokarnia, świętokrzyskie

This open-air museum in the valley of the Czarna Nidza river rebuilds the countryside of the Kielce region as it looked in the 18th and 19th centuries. Across 65 hectares, 38 groups of buildings are arranged in five sectors, from a small-town quarter to a manor farm, drawing on villages from the Holy Cross Mountains and nearby uplands. Inside the cottages you will find period furniture, household tools and workshop gear for weaving, basketry and shingle-making. Outdoors there are windmills, a village pharmacy, wells, horse-powered mills, kitchen gardens, herb plots and meadows.
