Panoramamuseum Schwäbisch Gmünd

Schwäbisch Gmünd, Baden-Württemberg

A 17-metre circular painting is the centrepiece here. Hans Kloss portrayed some 1,200 participants of the Staufersaga, the open-air play staged for the town's 2012 jubilee, along with riders and more than 50 horses. The 2.8-metre-high panorama hangs on the first floor of the Grät, a half-timbered building on the market square with medieval origins. Further works by Kloss are shown in several rooms.
