Památník Vojna u Příbrami

Lazsko, Středočeský kraj

Set in woodland about five kilometres from Příbram, this former labour camp is now a memorial to the victims of communism. German prisoners of war built it, and from 1949 political prisoners were held here, forced to work mainly in nearby uranium mines. The exhibition tells the camp's story and the fates of those held in it. A concrete lookout tower, also called Vojna, stands in the grounds.
