Ötztaler Freilichtmuseum
Längenfeld, Tirol
Two farmsteads still stand here where they were built, along with outbuildings and a row of workshop buildings strung along a mill stream. The main house, a 17th-century central-corridor farmhouse, was lived in until 1966 and is furnished as it would have been around 1900. Behind it are a barn with stable dating from 1618 and a post-built granary from about 1500, which stood apart from the farm so the food stores would survive a fire. This small open-air museum shows traditional farming life in the Ötztal.
