Österreichisches Post- und Telgraphenmuseum
Eisenerz, Steiermark
Set in the Kammerhof, a former hunting lodge of Emperor Franz Joseph I, this museum follows the story of post and telegraphy in imperial Austria. You can walk through a roadworthy mail coach and an original imperial-royal post office from around 1900. Morse keys, printing telegraphs and telephones show the technology, and a children's post office illustrates how people communicated before mobile phones and the internet.
