Housed in Sandomierz's royal castle, this museum concentrates on the history and heritage of the Sandomierz region. It began in 1921 as a local museum built from the private collections of regional enthusiasts, including minerals, insects, coins and archaeological finds. It reopened after the war, in 1956.
