Muzeum Warszawskiej Pragi

Warszawa, mazowieckie

This branch of the Museum of Warsaw tells the story of Praga, the city's right-bank district, and the people who lived there. It occupies three old tenement houses on Targowa Street beside the Różycki Bazaar, one of them the oldest surviving brick residential house in Praga. In the annex, wall paintings from a pre-war Jewish prayer house came to light, showing zodiac signs, worshippers at the Western Wall and Rachel's tomb. Inside you will also find a model of Praga in the 18th century, historic photographs and keepsakes donated by local residents.
