Muzeum w Łęczycy

powiat łęczycki, łódzkie

The museum is housed in Łęczyca Royal Castle, built between 1352 and 1370 under Casimir the Great and said in legend to be the seat of the devil Boruta. Collections cover archaeology from prehistory to the early Middle Ages, the history of the town and castle, and furnishings of local manor houses: furniture, paintings and weapons. Ethnographic displays include local costume and tools, and a set of demonic-themed sculptures stands out.
