Muzeum Śląska Cieszyńskiego

Cieszyn, śląskie

Founded in 1802 by Father Leopold Jan Szersznik, this Cieszyn museum is among the oldest public museums in Poland. It occupies the Larisch family town palace, built in 1790–1796, where concerts and balls were held for the emperor's guests in 1805, notably in the so-called Egyptian Hall. The museum's collections document the history of Cieszyn Silesia.
