Muzeum Roberta Kocha w Wolsztynie

Wolsztyn, wielkopolskie

Robert Koch, the future Nobel laureate, lived and worked in this building from 1872 to 1880, and the ground floor, once a hospital for the poor built in 1842–1846, now tells that part of his story. Inside you will find a bust of the physician by Jerzy Winkler, a microscope from his era, period furniture and copies of documents held in the archives of Berlin's Humboldt University. The museum opened in 1996 and also hosts scientific meetings on microbiology and medicine.
