Muzeum Regionalne w Wiślicy

Wiślica, świętokrzyskie

A modern archaeological pavilion on Plac Solny protects the remains of medieval Wiślica. You will see the foundations of an early Romanesque church of St Nicholas from the 11th century, the remains of two Romanesque collegiate churches including a 12th-century plaster floor, and a so-called baptismal basin whose purpose scholars still debate. The visit also takes in Długosz's House of 1460, with Gothic wall paintings.
