Muzeum Regionalne w Kozienicach

Kozienice, mazowieckie

Set in the surviving outbuilding of an 18th-century palace once owned by King Stanisław August Poniatowski, this regional museum is a pleasant stop in Kozienice. Its permanent displays include a painting gallery devoted to Stanisław Westwalewicz, shown alongside works by other artists such as Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz and Wacław Chodkowski. An earlier museum was lost when the palace burned in September 1939; the present one opened in 1970. Entry is free, and it is closed on Mondays.
