Muzeum im. Zofii i Wacława Nałkowskich

Wołomin, mazowieckie

A small wooden house on a sandy rise between Wołomin and Kobyłka, built in 1895 by the geographer and educator Wacław Nałkowski. His daughter, the writer Zofia Nałkowska, grew up here, and the meadow in front gave its name to her 1925 book, Dom nad łąkami. In her youth the house served as a literary salon, with guests coming for talks and lectures. The museum tells the story of father and daughter.
