Muzeum Boženy Němcové

The oldest Czech literary museum is devoted to the writer Božena Němcová. Its main site, with a former inn, a convent and remains of a medieval stronghold, presents her life and work with many originals, plus an exhibition on the 1866 Battle of Česká Skalice. Barunka's School has a 19th-century classroom, and a 7.5 km trail leads to Ratibořice and the places from her novel Babička.
