Museumsstellmacherei Langenrehm

This half-timbered ensemble in Langenrehm shows how a wheelwright's family lived and worked around 1930: a dwelling house with threshing floor, a workshop, a sawmill and a historic garden with a frame saw and timber shed. All the machines are preserved as they were in 1930 and still work. On open days the wheelwright demonstrates building wooden wagons, wheels and carts. Heinz Peters was still making mostly wheelbarrow wheels here until 1970.
