Museum Vom Kloster zur Stadt

Heilsbronn, Bayern

Under the roof of the Konventhaus, this museum traces how a Cistercian monastery grew into the town of Heilsbronn. It follows the monastery from its founding in 1132 to its dissolution in 1578 and documents the Hohenzollern burial place in the minster. Later sections cover the princes' school in the former monastery, Protestant religious life, and everyday town life from the 18th to the 20th century, including medicine, trades, leisure, war and peace.
