Museum Sophie La Roche

This small literary museum, housed in a former royal forestry jail beside Bönnigheim's baroque palace, honours Sophie von La Roche, the first German woman author of note. She lived in the town for a time and wrote key parts of her first novel here. The exhibition follows the main stages of her life and her work: novels, stories, a women's magazine, travel writing and letters. A smartphone with headphones offers deeper commentary.
