Museum Reinickendorf

Berlin, Berlin

This museum tells the story of Berlin's Reinickendorf district in a former school building of 1889 in Alt-Hermsdorf. The permanent exhibition runs from the first Stone Age settlement through the medieval founding of six villages to the district's rise as an industrial site around 1900. Three memorial sites belong to it: one on medical crimes at a former children's psychiatric clinic, a former forced labour camp on Krumpuhler Weg, and the one-time property of the artist Hannah Höch.
