Museum Reichenfels
Brückla, Thüringen
Beside the ruined castle of Reichenfels, this museum has collections on the prehistory of the area, the castle's history, and the art and cultural history of the Vogtland. Geology, local wildlife and Vogtland legends, including those about the peasant general Georg Kresse, are covered too. The museum belongs to a history society founded in 1825, whose own story is part of the display. Tours are available by arrangement, and the shop stocks regional books.
