In the heart of Klagenfurt, inside the Burg, this museum shows modern and contemporary art across about 1,000 square metres. Its focus is the Carinthian state collection, with works by Maria Lassnig, Arnulf Rainer, Hermann Nitsch, Kiki Kogelnik and Heimo Zobernig. The castle chapel, decorated with frescoes by Josef Ferdinand Fromiller, serves artists as an installation space.
