Museum Insel Hombroich

Neuss, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Art, architecture and nature merge here: free-standing pavilions and restored buildings sit in a re-wilded park and floodplain landscape on the north bank of the Erft. Sculptor Erwin Heerich designed many of the galleries, including the Orangerie, the Graubner Pavilion and the Hohe Galerie. Under the motto art parallel to nature, you walk from building to building across grounds that collector Karl-Heinrich Müller began shaping in 1982.
