Museum in der Kulturbrauerei

Berlin, Berlin

What was daily life like in East Germany? The permanent exhibition, housed in the former Schultheiss brewery in Prenzlauer Berg, answers with around 800 original objects, over 200 documents, film and sound recordings and personal accounts. It sets the promises of the state against how people actually lived, and includes products and posters from the Industrial Design Collection. Admission is free.
