Opened in 1989 and designed by Josef Paul Kleihues, this municipal gallery holds mainly German art of the 20th and 21st centuries, built on a large donation from the estate of Manfred Henninger. Changing shows focus mostly on individual contemporary artists, with the occasional cultural-history survey.
