Museum im Ballhaus

Imst, Tirol

A 16th-century warehouse once used for bales of cloth now houses Imst's town museum. The displays run from the Urnfield culture through medieval guild history to contemporary art. The highlight is the Ursuline nativity scene of 1790, with 237 richly dressed figures and a painted backdrop over five metres long, the largest in Tyrol.
