Museum für Puppentheaterkultur

Bad Kreuznach, Rheinland-Pfalz

Glove puppets, marionettes and stage figures from around the world fill 750 square metres here, tracing how puppetry grew from folk entertainment into a theatre art of its own, television included. The core is the collection of Karl-Heinz Rother, joined by Max Jacob's original Hohnstein Kasper and figures from Cologne's Hänneschen theatre. Hands-on stations let visitors try puppeteering themselves, and there is a workshop and a small theatre with regular performances.
