Markus Wasmeier Freilichtmuseum Schliersee

Schliersee, Bayern

Historic farmhouses of the Bavarian Oberland stand on about 60,000 square metres at the edge of Neuhaus. The museum began with three farms threatened by decay and moved here, and now shows more than 22 historic buildings, among them the Riederhof from Geitau and the Lukashof from Finsterwald. It was started by former ski racer Markus Wasmeier. It is open from April to November.
