Kunstmuseum Erlangen

This is the place to see contemporary art from the Nuremberg and Erlangen area, with painting, graphic art, sculpture and photography made since 1945. The galleries, about 300 square metres in all, occupy the first floor of the Loewenich Palais and a 2002 extension. Shows draw on established and younger artists, on private collections held by local collectors, and on memorial exhibitions for leading postwar artists of the region. The museum is also building up an archive, a library and its own collection of regional art.
