Klaus-Groth-Museum
Heide, Schleswig-Holstein
Klaus Groth, the Low German poet, was born in this gabled house of 1796 in Heide, which also shows everyday life in a 19th-century miller's household. His birth room was reconstructed from a drawing by Otto Speckter, the rooms are furnished with pieces donated by local people, and milling equipment is displayed in the attic. The house is part of the Lüttenheid museum island and also keeps original papers from Groth's estate.
