Johanniterkirche

Schwäbisch Hall, Baden-Württemberg

A Romanesque church from the 12th century, extended in the Gothic style in the 14th, now serves as a hall for paintings and sculpture by Old Masters. The works come from the Würth collection, and the hall is a branch of the Kunsthalle Würth. It stands above the Henkersbrücke over the Kocher, in the old Weiler suburb. The name recalls the Knights of St John, who ran a hospice beside it.
