Izba Pamięci Drogownictwa w Skwierzynie

Skwierzyna, lubuskie

This small museum is devoted to roads and the people who built them. Inside are documents, maps, plans, surveying instruments, road workers' tools, uniforms and a reconstructed set of the road signs in force in Poland in 1938. One highlight is a German foundation deed for a culvert, dug up in a bottle during road works in the 1980s. Outdoors you will see milestones, stone and wooden signposts, barriers and a pre-war towed roller.
