Historisches Postamt Küb
Payerbach, Niederösterreich
Letters and parcels were handled here until 2004, and today the old post office in Küb, on the Semmering railway line, shows how a small village post office worked after opening in 1905. Its story is tied to the summer-resort era and the imperial court nearby: the future Empress Zita had a telephone line laid to Küb to reach a confidante living in the village.
