Heinrich-Harrer-Museum

Hüttenberg, Kärnten

This museum follows the life and travels of mountaineer and explorer Heinrich Harrer. Around 4,000 items across 1,000 square metres cover his years as an athlete and climber and his journeys in Asia, South America and Africa. The Tibet collection takes up a large part, alongside multimedia displays and a large photo archive. It all sits in the village's former primary school, a listed historicist building.
