Heimathaus Sixthof
Aying, Bayern
How did people in Upper Bavaria live over 200 years ago? The Sixthof, a typical single-roof farmhouse, shows you. A walk through its period rooms takes in the parlour and the best bedroom reserved for distinguished guests, explains how a household got through the winter, and shows where the retired farmers lived. The farm belongs to the Aying brewery inn and was renovated in 1978 and furnished after historical models as a local-history house.
