Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart

Berlin, Berlin

Contemporary art fills a neoclassical railway terminus built in 1846/47, the only terminus building of its period still standing in Berlin. Alongside displays from the collection, the museum shows changing exhibitions by present-day artists. The core of the holdings is the Erich Marx collection, with works by Joseph Beuys, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol. It stands in Moabit, opposite the Charité hospital.
