Globenmuseum
Wien, Wien
Globes of the Earth and the heavens are the sole subject here, and this is the only public globe museum in the world. Of more than 600 pieces, mostly made before 1850, around 200 are on permanent display. The oldest is an Earth globe by Gemma Frisius from about 1536, and the globes by Vincenzo Coronelli are a highlight. The collection is housed in Palais Mollard-Clary on Herrengasse.
