Glasmuseum Bärnbach
Bärnbach, Steiermark
Glassmaking has gone on at the Stölzle works in Bärnbach since 1805, and this museum traces the longer story of glass. It runs from the first glass pieces made by the Mesopotamians some 6,000 years ago, through the invention of the glassblowing pipe, to the forest glassworks that once stood in the region. Archaeological finds are among the treasures on show.
