Germanisches Nationalmuseum

Nürnberg, Bayern

The displays here run from prehistory to the present day in Germany's largest museum of cultural history, set in the south of Nuremberg's old town along the medieval city wall. Of some 1.3 million objects, about 25,000 are on show. A highlight is the Behaim Globe, the oldest surviving depiction of the Earth as a sphere. Outside the entrance on Kartäusergasse, Dani Karavan's Way of Human Rights lines the street.
