Gefängnismuseum Freising
Freising, Bayern
The old prison in Freising now holds a museum with baroque cells in the Witches' Tower, a cell from around 1940 and an interrogation room with instruments of torture. A memorial room honours the mostly teenage defendants of the Zauberbuben trials of 1715 to 1717 and 1721 to 1723. A pre-war barber-surgeon's parlour, where teeth were pulled and patients cupped, adds a different note.
