Galicyjski Rynek

Sanok, podkarpackie

This part of the Sanok open-air museum recreates the market square of a Galician small town around 1900. The houses and public buildings around it are modelled on those of a dozen or so towns and villages in the Podkarpacie region, including Jaśliska, Bircza and Brzozów. Original structures from Ustrzyki Dolne, among them a Jewish house, and a fire station from Golcowa stand alongside. Each interior is furnished to suit its purpose, giving a sense of how people lived, worked and relaxed in a small town of old Galicia.
