This small display room in the Obernholz cellar lane shows Tertiary fossils found in a nearby sand pit. Fossil snails and shells tell of the Paratethys sea, whose surf hit this spot 20 million years ago, while traces of a river show the land as it was 30 million years ago. Multimedia presentations bring the earth's history to life.
