Egon-Schiele-Museum
Tulln an der Donau, Niederösterreich
Egon Schiele was born in Tulln in 1890, and this museum by the Danube is devoted to his life and especially his early work. It occupies a district jail built in 1898, and one surviving cell has been made to resemble the one in which Schiele spent three weeks in 1912. You will find paintings, drawings and photographs, along with traces of his childhood in Tulln and his school and student years.
