Dům historie Přešticka

Přeštice, Plzeňský kraj

Housed in a carefully rebuilt town house on Třebízského street, this local museum shows how people in the Přeštice area worked and traded from the late 19th century to the mid-20th. Upstairs you walk through the workshops of a blacksmith, carpenter, wheelwright, saddler, shoemaker, ropemaker, brush maker, tailor, potter, wood turner, bookbinder and clockmaker. The hall also holds a butcher's and a baker's shop, two tower clock mechanisms from 1750 and 1850, and a 1937 model of a water mill. Much of the collection came as gifts from local people.
