Dorf- und Heimatmuseum Winterbach

Winterbach, Baden-Württemberg

A farmhouse some two hundred years old, with its garden and little bakehouse, holds the local history of Winterbach in the Rems valley. Furnished rooms in their original style show how farmers and townspeople lived before industrialisation. You will also find archaeological finds from the Middle and New Stone Age, plus flax-working and craft displays. An upstairs room honours the local poet Julie Kern, who wrote in Swabian dialect as Julie Palmer.
