České muzeum stříbra

Kutná Hora, Středočeský kraj

Kutná Hora was a royal mining town, and this museum is about silver, mining, smelting and minting. It is based in the Hrádek on Barborská street, with further displays in other buildings around town. The collections hold over 170,000 items. The museum is also linked to a medieval mine, discovered by art historian Eva Matějková and opened to the public in 1969.
