The castle museum in Plau am See comes in two parts: the museum itself and the medieval castle tower. Its sections cover the crafts and technology of the 19th century, including printing, weaving, a shoemaker's workshop, fishing and shipping, plus photography, dental technology, local birdlife and art. In the tower you climb from the dungeon through town history up to the tower clock. Volunteers from the local heritage society run it.
