Burghausen City Museum

Inside the main castle of Burghausen, at 1,051 metres the longest castle complex in the world, this museum covers the town's history, art and culture. Four permanent exhibitions take in the late Middle Ages and the landscape between the Salzach river and the Wöhrsee, many with hands-on stations. It occupies the former bower of the ducal residence, and the displays have won the Bavarian Museum Prize.
