Anyone wanting to know Meidling beyond Schönbrunn will find the story of Vienna's 12th district at Längenfeldgasse 13–15. The museum dates back to 1923 and is the oldest of the city's district museums. From the start it has also had its own gallery, which shows work by local artists. It is run by volunteers.
